SILK ROUTE JEEP SAFARI:

The Karakoram highway that traces the course of Old Silk Route into China, virtually from sea level, this great highway climbs upward for 1287 kilometers to more than 16000 feet at the Khunjrab Pass. The Khunjrab Pass, which the highway crosses, and the nearby Mintaka Pass lie astride the magnificent ancient Silk Route that led from Europe to Asia and over which history’s most famous tourists once traveled. These include the Venetian trader and traveler, Marco Polo, who left his name behind on the magnificent-horned wild sheep of these reaches in the thirteenth century, the Chinese Fah Hian in the fourth century and the Arab Historian, Al-Beruni in the eleventh century.
