SILK ROUTE
TOUR ALONG KARAKORAM HIGHWAY:
This is a
journey of a lifetime to see Northern Areas of Pakistan’s most
incredible places. The magnificent Karakoram Highway that traces
the course of the old Silk Route starts from the Havellian town,
which is 100 km from Islamabad and winds through Abbotabad,
Mansehra,, Thakot, Beham, Pattan, Chilas, Gilgit, Hunza to Chinese
frontier across the 4733 meter high Khunjerab Pass. For its sheer
mountain grandeur and breath-taking panorama of beauty, few
places, can match the spectacular landscape through which the
Karakoram highway snakes. A fantastic and unforgettable spectacles
is the passage of the Highway along the Batura glacier, rated
among the world’s seventh largest.
DAY-01-ISLAMABAD;
Arrival Islamabad and transfer to hotel. In the Evening sight
seeing tour of Islamabad. (B/L/D).
DAY-02-CHILAS:
Drive to Chilas in Air-Conditioned coach/van/Bus on Karakoram
Highway. On route to chilas, we will stop at Besham midway for
lunch, and after lunch we drive further to Chilas, o/n in hotel
(B/L/D).
DAY-03-GILGIT:
Drive to Gilgit, o/n in hotel (B/L/D).
DAY-04-GILGIT:
Sight seeing of Gilgit city. The Beautiful town of Gilgit has
spectacular scenic beauty. The peak tourist season is from May to
October through the tourist season is round the year. We will
visit the beautiful rock engraving of Buddha of 8th
century AD. We will also visit the Kargah stream that is famous
for trout fishing. After sight seeing there, we will be back to
hotel for overnight (B/L/D).
DAY-05-KARIMABADA-HUNZA:
Drive to Hunza, which is situated, at an elevation of 2438 meters.
Karimabad, the capital of Hunza, offer an awe-inspiring view of
Rakaposhi (7788 M), the snow of Rakaposhi glitter in the
moonlight, producing an atmosphere at once ethereal and sublime.
We will visit the town of Hunza for sight seeing, o/n in hotel
(B/L/D).
DAY-06-KARAIMABAD HUNZA:
Visit the ancient forts of Baltit and Altit, and sight seeing
surrounding areas of Hunza, o/n in hotel (B/L/D).
DAY-07-KHUNJRAB-GULMIT:
Drive to Khunjrab pass, the highest point on Karakoram Highway and
back Gulmit, o/n in hotel. (B/L/D).
DAY-08-GULMIT:
Free day in Gulmit to explore the surrounding areas, o/n in hotel
(B/L/D).
DAY-09-CHILAS:
Drive to Chilas, o/n in hotel (B/L/D).
DAY-10-ISLAMABAD:
Drive to Islamabad, o/n in hotel (B/L/D).
DAY-11-TAXILA-ISLAMABAD:
Drive to Taxila and sight seeing there and back to Islamabad, o/n
in hotel (B/L/D).
DAY-12-DEPARTURE:
Transfer to Islamabad Airport for onward journey and END OF OUR
SERVICES.
